Katy B - her's real name is Kathleen Brien, 22-year-old singer and Mercury Music Prize nominee - is about to begin her second headline UK tour.

Katy said: "I know this sounds like a cliche, but before that tour I'd done two support tours and festivals, but that was the first time people had come to see me. I found that really weird, so strange.

"People used to ask if I thought festivals were weird because it's all about winning over new fans and playing to people who aren't necessarily there to see you, but I'm used to that.

"It's the idea of someone buying a Katy B ticket that freaks me out. Because of that, it was really nice to meet and play to the people that have bought my record and supported me."

And the On A Mission star is intrigued by the people who come to see her.

She said: "It was a real mix; boy ravers, younger girls, girls in their early 20s, and there was one guy there with his mum because they both liked my album. That was really sweet. It was lovely meeting everyone and chatting to people afterwards."

Second headline to Katy in UK tour on October 8 in Ipswich.

The 22-year-old said: “I’m going to place a bet on all the girls. Not many women have won the Mercury Prize, so hopefully we’ll have a chance this year.”

Lead singer Jonathan Higgs said, “They’re sworn to secrecy – my mum’s in a tiny village in Northumberland, so perhaps Doreen from the post office found out, but I think she kept her mouth shut”.

Bandmate Jeremy Pritchard joked: “If we won we’d lend the trophy to our mums on a shift basis.”

Fellow nominee Ghostpoet – real name Obaro Ejimiwe – said he splash out their Jack Russell Stanley profit if they had won.

“I’d pay my bills, take the missus on holiday, put a studio together and buy stuff for the dog – he needs a new bed and a new collar. He’s a bit of a greedy dog, so I’ve got to be careful. He’ll want diamante and all that.”

He added: “I’m just so humbled to be here. Being nominated is enough for me. The idea of winning is just too much for my brain to comprehend.”

Katy B first single "Katy on a Mission" is actually very good

Unfortunately for the first time Katy B's stage name is selected because no one in the world famous American pop Katy Perry Without thinking about it will be worth watching.

Hard Rock Calling

Katy Perry is less famous in Katy B’s home country of England than she is here in the USA.

It is a pity, because Katy B first single "Katy on a Mission" is actually very good. It is attractive and interesting while it's still enough to join the mainstream of electronics is quite real.

Katy is the best part of the song's vocals. That spells and high-pitched, drawn out vocals and her beautiful voice and alters the course is attractive.

The vocals verses, where they clash with staccato electronic beats are more harmful, but the overall sound without the ugly song feels experimental, and interesting to listen to.

Katy B reveal five think about style

Katy B is big earrings and a good fit on the importance of using.

Katy B: "There are certain things I can't carry off, so I avoid them".

1 It's healthy to experiment. I went through lots of embarrassing phases when I was younger. I once worked at the Nike shop in Brixton and I'd team up trainers with puffa jackets – I had a gold one I'd wear all the time.

2 Keep it simple and comfortable. I love wearing skinny jeans, a fitted white vest top and a pair of white Vans trainers. I'll wear a box-fresh pair when I want to look slick. For a cooler look, I'll wear a battered pair.

3 Know yourself. There are certain things I can't carry off, so I avoid them. Big earrings aren't really for me, although I like them on other people. I'm quite shy so I don't wear clothes or accessories that are too loud.

4 Good fit makes a huge difference. I'll wear a dress and heels for special occasions and I love it – but it's all about the fit. It makes your figure look better, and that's something I've only learned in recent years.

5
There are two essentials every woman should have in her wardrobe: good shoes and a lovely coat. I love Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. They always sorts me out for shoots so I now have a little collection.

Katy B's experience on stage most members are involved in crowd

Katy B's experience on stage most members are involved in crowd "carried out on stretchers".

Hitmaker 'Lights On' "in a barn" at a student performs on stage accident recently while she was in the middle of a set with an audience described as chaos.

She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "The worst experience I've had on stage was this one time I performed at a farm-like university. The student union was in a barn and they had a 'cavers and ravers' theme. Someone threw a drink over the PA and it started fuzzing and everything started cutting out.

"The people there had put the barriers the wrong way round so when the crowd pushed the barriers it was tilted onto the stage, and the whole crowd fell. I had to come back on stage to finish my set with people getting carried out on stretchers, it was really dangerous. I felt really bad."

But in the barns to perform music from the scheme. Dubstep 22-year-old star has revealed the track 'Katy On A Mission' when She wrote his first success in the beginning of a "club banger".

Katy added: "When I was sitting down and writing the song I was writing it for the clubs, and when I heard the tune it sounded like a bit of a club banger."
